A fun project was getting inside the author's head to "see" her vision and illustrate the book covers of a Fantasy Adventure Trilogy for GildedSerpents.com. The first book, Dragon's Gift was published in 2010 and has sold well. So the next two books are now available!
Book One of the Gilded Serpents Trilogy is a thrilling tale of intrigue and adventure, complete with faeries, demons, mystical pendants and dragons. Book two, Magic's Price continues the adventures of Princess Kwyleeana and her entourage as they battle a dark secret. Book three, War's Toll is the final thrilling tale of an evil brother, wars and a magic pendant. Get yours now.

I was honored to paint images of a few places related to the decades of conservation work by my father-in-law, Jerome C. Daniel. These paintings were displayed and presented to him on a landmark birthday celebration held at the King Gillette Ranch. At the same event the renaming of the Hollywood Bowl Overlook, in his honor, was announced. These paintings now hang in their home.
A former coworker requested a commissioned piece for her son Carl's high school graduation. This was an interesting challenge. How to get 18 years of life memories into on 18"x20" piece that would fit in an existing frame, handed down through the family? I was happy to have the opportunity to figure it out. Here is the finished piece.
Our pets are often important family members. This friend commissioned me to do a painting of her three pets, Gizmo, Gadget & Sprocket. Rather than individual portraits, we decided on a triptik on a deep edged canvas. Her style is bold, so the black canvas and bright backgrounds fit right in with her home design and personal tastes.
Some places are very special to us, because of the experiences we have there. However the photographs just don't do it justice. So I was commissioned to do this painting of the Mendicino coastline and was honored to present it to the happy couple. May they live long and love well.
Blessed with 4 Godson's, I had a request to sketch the first two when they were younger. Here's my handsome boys who not only look out for each other and their mother, but their two youngest twin brothers also! You amaze me gents.
Long ago, in a land, far, far away (or so it seems to me now), I was commissioned to do a tall sailing ship as a surprise gift for a friend's boyfriend. They are now a happily married couple with two beautiful boys. I like to think my painting had something to do with plotting their course toward favorable winds.

Public artworks are a favorite of mine. I was honored to do many art works for CHIME Charter in Woodland Hills, CA. From Book Sale Banners, to Carnival cut outs, Door signs and Peaceful Playground projects, there was always a creative gap to fill. I'm grateful for the opportunities that a community open to inclusive education and that values the creative arts, afforded me.
